Donna, the owner of Stargazers Anonymous, shares her passion for the night sky through unforgettable stargazing experiences in Maui. She has been providing her five star tours in Maui for seven years. Her tours blend astronomy, storytelling, and Hawaiian navigation traditions to create a meaningful connection to the stars, and to Maui. Donna is proud to be attending the University of Hawaii to obtain her degree in Astronomy.
As a retired Navy officer and navigator, I've spent my life guided by the stars. Currently, I focus on Hawaiian navigation techniques, sharing the art of wayfinding as it has been practiced across the Pacific for generations. With a master's degree in Engineering, and a deep appreciation for the night sky, I bring both meaning and direction to our stargazing experience.

Every night is unique. Depending on the season and sky conditions, guests may observe planets, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, the moon, shooting stars and countless stars through large professional telescopes. Our tours also include Hawaiian navigation, storytelling, and mythology, creating a memorable experience even when certain celestial objects are not visible.
Yes. Maui offers some of the best stargazing conditions in the world thanks to its dark skies, ocean views, and warm tropical evenings. Away from city lights, guests can experience breathtaking views of stars, planets, galaxies and the Milky Way through top-of-the-line telescopes depending on the season.
Bring your curiousity and a sweater. It can get a bit chilly at night in some seasons. Remember to wear comfortable shoes. The ground is a bit uneven.
Our tours are typically held in Ka'anapali and other beautiful locations throughout West Maui. Each evening, we carefully choose the location with the best sky conditions to ensure the clearest views and the best stargazing experience. We will call you approximately an hour before the tour to confirm the location. At that time, you will be sent clear directions to the location where we will meet.
We use professional-grade Celestron telescopes with large 9.25 inch optics and premium eyepieces to deliver stunning, detailed views of the night sky that most guests have never experienced before.
